The City of Markham, an award-winning municipality in the greater Toronto area, has selected Infolinx to provide enterprise-level physical records management software. With more than 400 corporate head offices and over 1,000 technology and life sciences companies, the City of Markham is Canada’s high-tech capital.

The City currently manages hundreds of thousands of records located throughout multiple sites. They have selected Infolinx to provide an automated electronic solution, recognizable across all facilities to address stakeholder business needs, with regards to record keeping and transparency to the public.

The Infolinx implementation will provide the City of Markham with expanded records management capabilities, enabling users to track physical records at both the file and the box levels, as well as manage requests and retrieval of records stored on and off-site. On average, the City of Markham manages thousands of records/box requests per year for both on-site and off-site locations.

The Markham application features advanced retention and legal holds functionality, supporting an unlimited number of time or event-based retention schedule record series defined by configurable meta-data fields.

The Infolinx space management capability enables the City of Markham to efficiently manage available warehouse space. This feature allows users to identify and allocate open spaces for incoming inventory, as well as analyze space usage trends, providing insight into future facility needs.

Today Infolinx System Solutions™, a leading provider of enterprise physical records management software, announced the upgrade to version 3.5 of Infolinx WEB™ by the York County Archives in Pennsylvania. This latest upgrade includes advanced space management and ECM integration with Laserfiche, expanding the county’s ability to manage both physical and electronic records.

The York County Archives stores records for more than 40 county offices during various time periods throughout the county’s 250-year history. Stored records include marriages, deeds, wills, birth records, death records, and tax records.

City of Dallas Employees’ Retirement Fund Implements Infolinx WEB™ for Tracking Physical Files

Solution incorporates Gen II Radio-Frequency (RFID) technology.


Today, Infolinx System Solutions™, a leading provider of enterprise physical records management software, announced the implementation of Infolinx WEB™ for the Retirement Fund (ERF) of the City of Dallas, Texas. The government-owned asset management firm manages retirement, disability, and survivor benefits for permanent civilian employees of the city of Dallas.

The implementation of Infolinx WEB provides the Employees’ Retirement Fund with advanced management of more than 16,000 employee files.

Infolinx partnered with Southwest Solutions, an Infolinx reseller, to provide and apply Gen II RFID tags to the active, retired, disabled, and deferred file folders for the ERF. Using passive, 915 MHz UHF tags, in conjunction with fixed RFID readers, end-users can simultaneously check-in/check-out multiple files. Users can also find missing files or perform records inventories with greater efficiently using the portable RFID reader.
